Macey McCallion
Macey McCallion comes from a background showing pleasure horses. She competed for many years in the Morgan horse circuit where she won multiple regional and national titles in western and hunter pleasure. Although Macey’s background is in competitive riding her approach has been heavily influenced by her work in the equine assisted learning and therapy field. She has certifications from the Gestalt Equine Institute of the rockies and the HERD institute. Macey is an affiliate for the HERD institute where she offers horsemanship sessions and clinics to current and persecutive students. She is also the Western coach for Cal Poly Pomona’s competitive show team. In addition, Macey is pursuing the sport of mounted archery. Macey’s approach in working with horses is a relational one. She believes horses want harmony and connection. Any issues that arise in your horses are opportunities for the horse to be heard and the human to listen and adapt. Macey offers horse training, riding lessons and equine facilitated learning. With over 20 years experience working in the equine industry Macey can assist in helping you and your horse succeed. She specializes in addressing “problem” horses, building solid partnerships between horses and their riders, horsemanship, trail riding, western and hunter pleasure, obstacle riding and can assist with those new to horses and horse ownership. Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy was started by Patricia Morris in Hawaii in 1971 to use equine therapy to help children with physical and emotional challenges. They work with non-challenged riders as well. They moved the program to a small stables in Alta Loma, California in 1975. The last transition was to move the Rising Stars program to Sycamore Canyon Equestrian Center in San Dimas, California in 2022. Thousands of youth have received help over half a century. They are grateful to operate the Rising Stars program out of SCEC. Join them for their Saturday Open House from 9 - 10:30, weather permitting, no rain or temperatures over 90. They offer private lessons, too. They accept volunteers to help operate this non-profit organization.

Jane E. Steiner (Janie) was born and raised in Great Britain, an avid horse enthusiast she began her riding career as soon as she could sit a pony. She rode extensively in Europe and was a good member in standing with the Vine & Craven Pony Club. Studying under some of the best riding instructors in England, who in effect made her the horseman she is today.
Her skill and riding expertise spans a broad range of disciplines that include field hunters showhunters, showjumpers as well as 3 day eventing, and steeple chase racing. She even gained experience riding for a circus! Jane’s vast knowledge and diverse education background make her an outstanding instructor and rider.
In addition to her show horse experience, Jane previously galloped at the racetrack for 16 years, impressively riding for some of the biggest barns in the United States. Legends such as Wayne Lucas and Godolphin, Daryl Vienna regularly entrusted Jane with their million dollar racehorses.
Jane also has many television and movie credits to her name. She is often sought after and appears as a stunt rider, Jane has also appeared in MTV’s Rob & Big, and was actually the person from whom Rob learned to ride a horse for his show. She has also appeared on CSI, Public Enemies and numerous other commercials and TV shows.
With an unmatched background in the horse industry combined with a true, honest and deep love of horses, and an understanding of “what it takes” Jane E. Steiner is the perfect choice for you, your children, your friends or your family to become safe, knowledgeable horseman. What sets Jane apart from most trainers is quite simple, her diverse firsthand knowledge of horses and riding. She can and will train you to become the best horseman you can be.
